Damon Adelgren grew up as a “Navy Brat,” living all over the US as well as in Italy and Japan. The same year his father retired from the Navy, Damon enlisted. After an unexpected and life-changing encounter with Christ during boot camp, Damon went on to spend the next seven years as a Navy Electronics Technician onboard the USS Sierra & later on staff at the Naval Reserve Readiness Center in Charleston.
While stationed in Charleston, SC he met and married his wife Kellie. Together they served as church youth leaders there for nine years. Once Damon’s Navy stint was complete he entered the field of Healthcare Administration which eventually led he and his family to Nashville, working first for HCA Physician Services, then Mercy Children’s Clinic, and finally STAR Physical Therapy.
In addition to his work at STAR Physical Therapy, Damon also has a business on the side; UN2 Sports. The business provides athletic apparel and accessories for athletes and fans.
An avid photographer and eager volunteer, Damon has offered his time and talents to a number of ministry organizations. He also served Faith Community Church as a Sunday School teacher and deacon for five years before his selection as an elder.
“My approach to the Christian life is pretty basic,” Damon explains. “I want to keep learning what it means to live my life as unto the Lord, to love Jesus with all my heart, soul, mind and strength and to love my neighbor as myself. I also want to help other people do the same. I strongly believe in the need for servant leadership, and as an elder it’s my privilege to serve others and to try to be a source of encouragement and inspiration to them.”
Damon and Kellie live in Spring Hill, TN with their daughter Annaleigh, and sons Harrison and Jack Henry.
