Tom was born in Cincinnati, OH. He married his beautiful wife Claudia in 1970. The highlight of Tom’s adult life is the moment he met Jesus, in 1973. He recalls that moment fondly, it happened in Bowling Green KY at an evangelistic service. Tom and Claudia have four adult children.

Tom worked for the Hartford Insurance company for 36 years. While working for the Hartford, Tom worked in the Claims Department.  Here he learned leadership, development, management, and negotiation. At the time of his retirement, Tom served as an Account Claim Executive. The Lord has used Tom’s experience in the Hartford as a help in leading God’s people on mission.

In 1995, while on vacation in Santiago Chile, Tom was visiting missionary friends. The missionary friend had to stop at an orphanage to complete some paperwork. While there, Tom saw the incredible need facing 105 girls aged 3-18. From that moment on, Tom felt God’s call on his life to bring justice to these under-privileged girls.

Vision for Chile was birthed in that moment. Vision for Chile eventually became Vision for Children. Twenty years later, Vision for Children has built nineteen buildings, spent 2.4 million dollars in Chile, facilitated missions work for over 1,100 people, built the House of Hope, and is now educating young women to know Jesus and have practical skills to live in Chile.
