The Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA) is a missions movement. Jesus said in Matthew 24:14, “This gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations and then the end will come.” Matthew also records some of Jesus’ final words in his 28th chapter, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…” These Scriptures set our missions policies. The church of Jesus must be a going church.
Strategically, we are focusing more on where the gospel is not present. Workers sent out in the last few years are being sent to the darker places of the world. We are leaving many of the traditional fields like South America. With over 70% of Evangelical missionaries going to countries where the gospel is already established we are going to where the gospel is not established. See the map above.
Our missions dollars go to the Great Commission Fund (GCF). This is the primary missions support arm of the C&MA. The funds collected here go to the support of about seven hundred missionaries. Because of the GCF, most of our missionaries are not burdened to raise their own support. Some of our workers receive some GCF funding but are also supported through their own marketplace work. At present, the C&MA gives more of each dollar to missions then other Evangelical denomination. This is a simple reflection of our values.
